Here is a quick Q&A with Stefan:

Q: What are you looking forward to at the Scorers 1st Showcase?

A: As a young coach I’m looking to broaden my horizon and absorb as much Information as I can.
It’s a new concept for me and I’m very curious about the interactions with the players and how they will respond to a foreign coach.
To get into their world, gives me a better perspective on how to respond in certain situations.
Q: What is the most difficult/important part of scouting and recruiting players for you each summer and why do you think the Showcase can/will help?
A: It’s crucial for me to get to know the person behind the basketball player. The Scorers 1st Showcase will give me an opportunity to talk to them. I need to be sure that they can handle the life as a professional player.
Q: – What can players expect from you during the time in Las Vegas?

A: I’ m a defensive minded coach and I know that’s going to be very hard to persuade the players of that. In offense I like the uptempo game.
I like playing agressive on both ends of the court. When you are on the court, you give it all. when you need a rest, you sit. This style needs a lot of subs but my goal is to increase the efficiency of the players.
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
A: I would like to add that I’m looking for players with a good work ethic and with passion for the game. Energizers! Guys that are willing to put in some hard work and realize that it will make them better in the long run. As the saying goes “hard work beat talent when talent fails to work hard”.
